There is no other place quite like Sicily. Located just off the southern tip of Italy in the center of the Mediterranean, Sicily is an island forged by many cultures. Through the ages, a steady stream of peoples have left their mark, including the Greeks, Romans, Arabs, and Normans. Yet Sicily remains an island unique unto itself-a beautiful collision of the past and present-a melting pot of great Mediterranean traditions full of magnificent artwork, architecture, and folklore, plus an amazing bounty of archeological remains including two of the best-preserved Greek Temples in the world.

The many facets of Sicily's rich cultural heritage can be discovered in the style and design of the ancient amphitheaters, breathtaking cathedrals, intricate mosaics, baroque palaces, and dramatic churches.
